This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which cookies the Adriel Corp website uses, why we use them and how you can control them. We keep cookies to a minimum: most of the cookies on our site are needed to make it work securely, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and, where applicable, the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise your browser on later requests, for example to keep you logged in, remember the items in your cart or remember that you have already answered a cookie banner. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too.
Cookies can be:
- session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period or until you delete them; and
- first-party cookies, set by our own website, or third-party cookies, set by another service whose content appears on our pages.
2. How we use cookies
Our website is built on WordPress and runs a small set of plugins. The cookies they set fall into these categories:
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website and shop to function. They keep the shopping cart working, maintain logged-in sessions, remember your cookie consent choice and protect the website against attacks. Because the website cannot work properly without them, they do not require your consent, but you can still block them in your browser (see section 6).
2.2 Functional cookies
These cookies remember choices you make, such as the name and email address you entered when leaving a blog comment, or display preferences for logged-in users. They make the website more convenient to use.
2.3 Security cookies
Our Wordfence security plugin sets cookies for logged-in users to help protect accounts and the website firewall. Ordinary visitors who do not log in will generally not receive these cookies.
2.4 Analytics and advertising cookies
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add an analytics tool in the future, it will only be loaded after you have given consent through our cookie banner, and we will update this policy and the cookie table first.
3. Cookies used on this website
The table below lists the cookies currently set by our website. Names that include a placeholder such as [hash] or [user_id] end with a value unique to the website or user. Durations are the defaults set by the software and may vary slightly.

woocommerce_items_in_cart |
WooCommerce | Records whether there are items in your cart so the shop can display the cart correctly. | Session |

sbjs_* (for example sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_session) |
WooCommerce order attribution (only if enabled) | Records how a visitor arrived at the website (for example, direct or via a link) so that the source can be attached to an order. | Session (sbjs_session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity) |
wordpress_[hash] and wordpress_sec_[hash] |
WordPress | Store authentication details for logged-in users, such as customers with an account or site administrators. | Session, or 14 days if “Remember me” is selected |
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] |
WordPress | Indicates that you are logged in and identifies your account. | Session, or 14 days if “Remember me” is selected |
wordpress_test_cookie |

comment_author_[hash], comment_author_email_[hash], comment_author_url_[hash] |

wf_loginalerted_[hash] |
Wordfence | Helps detect logins from new devices so that administrators can be alerted to suspicious activity. | Up to 1 year |
Other plugins we use do not set additional cookies for ordinary visitors. Yoast SEO adds search engine information to our pages and does not set cookies. Contact Form 7 processes your enquiry when you submit the form but does not set its own tracking cookies. WP Hide & Security Enhancer hardens the way WordPress files and paths are exposed and is not used to track visitors.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising networks or social media tracking pixels. If you follow a link to an external website, such as our Facebook or Instagram pages, a payment provider’s page or a technology documentation site, that website may set its own cookies under its own policy. If we enable an additional payment gateway, the gateway may set cookies on its own payment pages to process and secure your payment. We have no control over these cookies, so please check the relevant third party’s cookie and privacy policies.
5. Your consent and how to change it
When you first visit our website, the CookieYes banner asks for your consent to any cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Your choice is stored in the cookieyes-consent cookie.
Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies that are strictly necessary, and it does not affect the lawfulness of anything that happened before you withdrew it. If you clear your browser cookies, the banner will appear again on your next visit and ask for your choice.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually find these options in the “Settings”, “Preferences” or “Privacy” menu of your browser. You can also use private or incognito browsing, which deletes cookies when you close the window.
Please note that if you block all cookies, some parts of our website will not work properly. In particular, you may not be able to add packages to your cart, complete checkout in our shop or log in to your account.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information, there is no cross-site tracking for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. Where applicable law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this cookie policy
We will update this cookie policy whenever we add, remove or change cookies, for example if we install a new plugin, enable a payment gateway or introduce analytics. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Where a change requires your consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
9. Contact us
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please email [email protected] or use our contact page. Our physical address is available on request by email.
