FAQ
General
What does Adriel Corp do?
Adriel Corp is a South African development house. We design and build mobile applications, web applications, e-commerce solutions and enterprise applications, and we also provide code refactoring and cloud migration services. Our aim is to bring your business digital solutions using modern technologies that accelerate or transform the way you work.
Where is Adriel Corp based, and do you work with international clients?
We are based in South Africa and work with clients both locally and internationally. Most collaboration happens online, through calls, shared documents and demonstrations of working software, so your location is rarely a barrier.
What technologies do you work with?
Our stack includes Flutter and Xamarin/.NET MAUI for mobile, PHP with Laravel, Python with Django, JavaScript, jQuery and C#/.NET for web and enterprise systems, Microsoft Azure and AWS for cloud, plus machine learning, artificial intelligence and SEO. See our Technologies page for when we recommend each one.
Who have you worked with?
Organisations we have worked with include SFURA and VODACOM. We work with businesses of all sizes, from start-ups validating an idea to established enterprises with complex systems.
Do I need a detailed specification before contacting you?
No. Many clients come to us with an idea or a problem rather than a specification. Our Conceptual and Structuring phases are designed to turn your thinking into a clear plan, and our Discovery & Architecture Workshop is a focused way to do exactly that.
FAQ
Process & Timelines
What is your development process?
Every project follows six phases: Conceptual, Structuring, Prototyping, Development, Testing and Deployment. Each phase has clear deliverables and defined points where you are involved. Our How We Work page explains each one in detail.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines depend on scope, complexity, integrations and how quickly decisions can be made. As a rough, illustrative guide, a prototype may take a few weeks while a full platform can take several months. We provide a project-specific timeline once the Structuring Phase is complete.
How involved will I need to be?
Your involvement is highest at the start, when we are understanding your goals, and during prototype reviews and user acceptance testing. During development we share regular updates and demonstrations so you can give feedback without needing to manage the day-to-day work.
Can requirements change during the project?
Yes. Businesses evolve and new ideas emerge. When a change is requested, we explain its impact on scope, timeline and cost so you can make an informed decision before work proceeds.
Why do you include a prototyping phase?
The Prototyping Phase applies the chosen structures and technologies before full development begins. It uncovers potential issues early, when they are cheapest to address, and confirms that the plan can be executed. It significantly reduces the risk of surprises later in the project.
FAQ
Pricing & Payments
How much does custom software cost?
Cost depends on scope, platforms, integrations, design requirements and ongoing support needs. We provide a tailored proposal once we understand your project. Our article on what drives the cost of a mobile app explains the main factors.
Do you offer fixed-price packages?
Yes. Our shop lists productised services with defined scopes, such as the Discovery & Architecture Workshop (R 18 500), the Code Audit & Refactoring Sprint (R 42 000) and the Web Application Starter (R 95 000). Prices are listed in South African rand.
How are payments structured for custom projects?
Payment terms are agreed in each proposal before work begins. Larger projects are commonly divided into stages aligned with our development phases, so payments follow visible progress. Full details are set out in your proposal and our Terms and Conditions.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds for packages purchased through our shop are governed by our Refund Policy. For custom projects, the applicable terms are set out in your project agreement.
Who owns the code once the project is complete?
Ownership of intellectual property is defined in your project agreement and our Terms and Conditions. Our aim is always for you to have the access and rights you need to operate, maintain and extend your software.
FAQ
Support & Security
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes, ongoing support and maintenance can be arranged by agreement. This can include bug fixes, security updates, dependency upgrades and new features. Because our code is backed by unit tests, enhancements can be made with confidence that existing features keep working.
How do you approach application security?
Security is considered from the Structuring Phase onwards, through access control, secure data handling and careful validation of input. Our testing includes negative tests that check how the system handles invalid or malicious input, and we use recognised guidance such as the OWASP Top 10 as a checklist.
How do you handle personal information and POPIA?
We design systems with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind, including collecting only the data that is needed, controlling access and protecting it in storage and transit. Our own handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Can you take over or improve an existing application?
Yes. We start with an audit to understand the code, its risks and its dependencies, then recommend a plan. Our Code Audit & Refactoring Sprint is a structured way to begin, and we add tests before restructuring so we can prove nothing has been broken.
Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
We are happy to discuss a non-disclosure agreement before you share commercially sensitive details about your idea or systems. Just mention it when you first contact us.
Can you host and deploy my application?
Yes. In the Deployment Phase we deploy your solution to the relevant environments, which may be Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, your own infrastructure or the mobile app stores. We recommend hosting based on your budget, scale and existing systems.

Helpful information to prepare
You do not need a formal specification to start a conversation with us, but a little preparation helps us give you more useful answers in our first discussion. If you can, think about the following.
- The problem you want to solve, or the opportunity you want to pursue
- Who will use the software, such as customers, staff or partners
- Any existing systems, data or code the solution needs to work with
- Your preferred timeline and any fixed dates, such as a launch or event
- An approximate budget range, so we can recommend suitable technologies
